He has made his choice and it was not a good choice! Sadly, the consequences of this young man's actions will be felt far outside of himself. The saddest thing about this situation is that other young black men will see this encounter and not take heed. Other young black men see the end result of this exchange, and it will have zero affect. In fact, the opposite will happen. Other young black men will be impressed and influenced by this exchange. Personally, I don't care anymore. At the risk of sounding racist, I am just tired of it. Black men, per capita, are responsible for more crimes in the U.S. than all other races combined. And, that also includes the amount of incarcerated; again, per capita. The truth is that I am not racist. The numbers don't lie, but the mere mention of these numbers will make me appear racist. But, the accurate and truthful numbers are ignored by all; even the media! Society, in general, is simply just in denial. So, here's the truth......Trayvon Martin was a criminal that was made into a martyr. George Floyd was a criminal that was also made into a martyr. And, Floyd was martyred to almost god-like status! Society has simply allowed young black men with criminal and antisocial behavior to become the poster children for right and wrong in America. This needs to change. Four years ago I was a liberal man who fought for the same things that many liberals fight for today. I am no longer that same person. Black America has stayed at the top of the criminal stats and it seems to be getting worse. So, I have adjusted my thinking and I now know where I am more likely to be assaulted and robbed.
